Last year, the White House jumped on Spotify to post President Obama's summer playlist.

Today, we've got the encore.

President Obama is once again sharing his summer picks -- an eclectic mix of hand-selected tracks on two lists that take listeners from day to night. The vacation playlists feature legendary songs from Prince and Aretha Franklin, some more recent tracks from hip hop artists like Common and Chance the Rapper and the musical styles of Manu Chao and Caetano Veloso.

Since 2009, President Obama has made it a priority to provide local law enforcement with the tools necessary to protect the public while ensuring their own safety and wellness.  To maintain his commitment and ensure that we are working toward strengthening the trust between communities and law enforcement, the President launched the Task Force on 21st Century Policing, designed to identify best practices and develop meaningful solutions to help law enforcement agencies and communities strengthen trust and collaboration, while ushering the nation into the next phase of community-focused policing.

In this week's address, President Obama celebrated the beginning of the Summer Olympics by wishing Team USA the best of luck as they compete on the world stage. The President said Team USA reminds the world why America always sets the example as a nation of immigrants that finds strength by embracing our diversity and finding unity in our national pride.

The entrepreneurial spirit has fueled America's economy for centuries. And these days, that spirit is stronger than ever.

Over the last two decades, 65 percent of new jobs have been created by startups and small enterprises. Companies less than one year old have created an average of 1.5 million jobs per year over the past three decades.

Today began like any other for 214 federal inmates across the country, but ultimately became a day I am confident they will never forget. This morning, these individuals received a message from the President: your application for clemency has been granted.

This news likely carries special weight to the 67 individuals serving life sentences – almost all for nonviolent drug crimes – who, up until today, could only imagine what it might be like to once again attend a loved one’s birthday party, walk their child to school, or simply go to the grocery store.

The Obama administration has made considerable progress over the past eight years to make our tax code fairer. This week, the Treasury Department is building on that progress through proposed new rules closing a loophole that allows some wealthy families to avoid paying their fair share in estate taxes. Treasury's action will help working families around the country because, when the wealthiest households are able to use sophisticated techniques to exploit loopholes and reduce the taxes that they owe, more of the tax burden ultimately falls on middle-class taxpayers.
